Olivia Newton-John is a British-born Australian singer, songwriter, environmental activist and actress. She emigrated to Australia from the United Kingdom at the age of 6 was part of a short-lived girl group at the age of 14.
She represented the United Kingdom on home ground at the Eurovision Song Contest 1974 in Brighton with the song Long Live Love and achieved 4th place despite admitting she disliked the entry that the British public chose for her.
Four years later in 1978, she became a superstar when she made her film debut as Sandy in the hit movie musical Grease which spawned one of the best-known and biggest-selling soundtracks in history. The 1980s also spawned several more hits for her including "Magic" from the film Xanadu and "Physical".
She still performs and tours to this day.
