Myriam Lopes Elmosnino, known by her stage name Marie Myriam, is a French singer.  Of Portuguese descent, she was born in Luluabourg/Kananga in the Belgian Congo.  Marie Myriam represented France in the Eurovision Song Contest 1977 in London with her entry L'Oiseau et l'enfant (The Bird and the Child) and won the Contest with 136 points, giving France its fifth victory overall.

She made an appearance at the 50th anniversary concert in Copenhagen, Denmark in October 2005 as a guest presenter and performer. The same year, Myriam wrote the introduction to the French edition of The Eurovision Song Contest: The Official History by John Kennedy O'Connor.
