Margot Hielscher was a German singer and film actress. She appeared in over fifty films between and 1939 and 1994.
She represented her home country in two consecutive years, at the 1957 Contest and the 1958 Contest, finishing in 4th and 7th place, respectively.
In 1989, she starred in the TV series "Rivalen der Rennbahn".
In 1978, she was awarded the "Bundesverdienstkreuz" and in 1985 the "Filmband in Gold" for her contributions to German cinema.
She passed away on 20 August 2017 at the age of 97.
